From Etsy Shop to Dream Website: Personal Branding Photography with Jenny, Tied by Juniper

Personal branding photography for makers and creative small businesses · Lincoln, Lincolnshire

Some clients you meet and just instantly know, this person gets it. Jenny from Tied by Juniper was one of those people.

We first crossed paths at a personal branding mini shoot day I ran, and as with so many of my favourite clients, we hit it off immediately. Since then we've been in each other's corners most weeks, swapping stories of the highs and lows of running a small creative business. You know the ones, the days where you're happy-crying at an enquiry one minute and wondering why you ever thought self-employment was a good idea the next.

So when Jenny decided to take the leap and invest properly in Tied by Juniper, moving from an Etsy shop to a full, beautiful brand new website with the brilliant team at Number 75 Design, she needed photos that could carry the whole thing. Not just pretty images, but pictures that actually felt like her. Warm, welcoming and full of that infectious enthusiasm for handmade creativity that Jenny has in absolute spades.

Just look at what they built together.

That homepage hero shot - the workshop table laid out and ready, macramé hanging in the background, everything calm and inviting, that's not just a photo. That's the first thing a potential customer sees, and it's telling them exactly the kind of experience they're going to have with Jenny before they've read a single word. Create, connect, transform. It's all right there.

To get those shots, we hired a beautiful studio space and gathered a group of brilliant people to take part in a real workshop. The aim was simple, photograph Jenny doing what she does best. Guiding people through the meditative magic of macramé, creating that atmosphere of calm, connection and creativity that her workshops are genuinely known for.

Because Jenny's workshops are so much more than making something beautiful (though you absolutely will leave with something you're proud of). They're about giving yourself permission to pause. To breathe. To slow down and make something real with your hands. As Jenny puts it herself, t's not just about what you make, it's about how you feel while making it.

From a personal branding photography point of view, it was a total dream shoot. Candid laughter, focused hands tying knots, that warm glowy energy that only comes from someone doing something they genuinely love. The kind of images that make someone land on a website and think ‘This is exactly where I want to be’

The results speak for themselves. Jenny now has a website that looks and feels completely, unmistakably her and every single image is working hard to attract the right people into her world.

This is exactly what personal branding photography is for. Not just headshots, not just pretty flatlays. But a whole visual story of your craft, your process, your personality and the transformation you offer the people you work with.

If you're a Lincoln-based maker, creative or small business owner who's ready to take that next step, whether you're building a new website, relaunching your brand, or just done with blurry iPhone photos and borrowed stock images - I'd genuinely love to chat.
