Italian Inspired Wedding at Dodmoor House: Ria & Jason

AHHH WE LOVE OUR PICTURES!! Thank you so much Clare! What a fantastic surprise last night! We ended up sitting up until 1am looking through them and drinking fizz!

This is exactly why I do what I do.

Sitting up until 1am with fizz and your wedding photos? That's the dream. That's what it's all about.

Just married and absolutely losing it in the best way — Dodmoor House wedding, Northamptonshire

Ria and Jason's wedding was one of those days that just had everything, warmth, creativity, love, and the kind of personal touches that make a wedding feel genuinely, unmistakably theirs. It was a true family affair, beautifully intimate, and absolutely bursting with handmade detail.

The thread running through the whole day? Olive trees. Because that's where Jason proposed and from that moment, they wove it into everything. The invitations (hand-painted by their incredibly talented artist friends, no less), the aisle of the village church where they said their vows, the décor at the stunning Dodmoor House venue. Delicate, handmade hoops created by family hung in the converted barn where everyone sat down to a proper Italian feast. The whole day told a story, and I was just lucky enough to help capture it.

And can we talk about Ria for a second? She absolutely glowed. Her lace Pronovias gown was honestly breathtaking and the look on Jason's face when she walked down that aisle said more than I ever could in a caption. That's the shot. That's the one you frame.

I actually first met this gorgeous pair at a mutual friend's wedding a few years back, which is one of my favourite things about this job. You show up for one couple's big day and end up becoming part of a whole little community of brilliant, creative humans. (And yes, I'm already looking forward to seeing these two again when I photograph another wedding in their world!)

Stolen moment among the apple trees — intimate wedding portrait, Dodmoor House, East Midlands

If you're planning a wedding in the East Midlands - whether that's Lincolnshire, Nottinghamshire, Northamptonshire, or beyond and you want photos that actually feel like you (relaxed, real, full of the details you worked so hard on), I'd love to chat.

No stiff poses. No forced smiles. Just your story, told beautifully.
